Attention SIS Auction guests! Look for the big white tent! The excitement is building for the 2023 Sauvie Island School Auction this Saturday the 20th of May opening at 5:00 PM at Columbia Farms! Reminders about the auction: Guests must be 21 and over. No kids and no pets. The auction is an outdoor event in a grass field under a big tent. The weather for Saturday is looking good! Dress for the Oregon weather! Your first stop on arrival will be Registration, in the white building next to the barn, where you will check in, and receive your bidder card and bracelet. After you are all checked in, come over the big white tent for the cocktail hour and appetizers, play Raffle Games, spin the Wine Wheel, and bid on the fabulous items in our Silent Auction. The Silent Auction and Games end at 6:20, dinner by the Delta Cafe starts at 6:30, and the LIVE auction with Anne Marie Luthro of Marquam Auction Agency begins at 7:00! Stick around after the LIVE auction for music with DJ Static Fuzz and dancing!

Love our student clean up volunteers. Taking care of their spaces helps students form a connection to place, raises awareness of community behaviors, and supports the emerging sense of personal responsibility.

Third grade observed their butterflies move through the metamorphic process this spring. They are enjoying their 'class pets' for a moment before releasing. Funds raised by the auction help cover extra classroom and project supplies such as these!

Sixth grade led a life cycle treasure hunt with excited 1st-grade students as part of their Tom's tree community project.

Columnar basalt was the word of the day for our third grade's visit to the Columbia Gorge to explore our unique NW Geology. Money raised by our auction supports amazing field trips for all our students.

Be on the lookout next week after school for some Veggie Start Pop-Up Sale! All starts were sown, transplanted, and cared for by students—all proceeds help us continue our garden program. We’ll have a table near the greenhouse during parent pick-up most days next week, cash only, please.
